There are 2 important things you need to know regarding the garabage system:
Garbage is being collected weekly in most locations, details regarding this you can find on the poster.

Make sure the garbage container will be put on the right spot for collection.
This is next to the street where the garbage truck can reach the container.

Needs to be sorted as following:
PMD: Plastic packing/Bottles/Drink Carton
Paper: Newspaper/Envelops/Magazines
GFT: Foodrests/Bones/Leaves
Rest: Everything except above and except glass,textile and diapers
